Loren Taylor's directorial debut, “The Moon is Upside Down”, is an uproarious and cleverly dark-humoured rollercoaster. Against the backdrop of New Zealand's stunning countryside and gritty urban suburbs, three characters grapple with an insatiable yearning for connection.

Adults are so fed up with disobedient children, they left them and went off camping. All of them. First, the children were happy - now you can do anything, no washing, dance all night and no school! But then they run out of food, nothing to eat, cook for the children themselves can not and do not know how, and there's no one to treat them when the stomach aches or headache, or when you fall off your bike. Set in a fantastical living room with more doors than walls, The Upside Down Show stars The Umbilical Brothers as David and Shane, two brothers who live with their energetic puppet called Puppet, their invisible pet fly Fido, and The Schmuzzies, fluff balls that inhabit the nooks and crannies of their living room. Each episode begins as the brothers hand an imaginary remote control to the viewers at home so they can 'control' the duo's physical motion by fast forwarding, rewinding or pausing their movement. Breaking 'the fourth wall' of the television set, the brothers encourage their audience to participate in their antics and accompany them on their excursions.
